A wealth of maraschino cherry pops in taste and aroma in this wine, followed by dense black cherry and cinnamon. Supple and light-to-medium bodied, it's a balanced expression of the variety, with complexity and character.

At nearly four years of age, this Pinot is in an awkward phase. Tasted in March, it was dry, tannic and oaky, with powerful red fruit and mocha flavors. There's a distinctly funky, animal note that lends interest. Hold until 2015 or so.
