Overt and delicious oak aromas and flavors dominate this full-bodied, tannic wine. It smells like fresh-cut oak boards and tastes like cinnamon, cardamom and black cherries, finishing with lingering tannic grip.

It's hard to find any Tannat in California— let alone good Tannat—and Sobon has done a nice job here, combining leather and boysenberry fruit to good effect. In the back layers is a trace of menthol.
