Bright with a touch of smoky leather, this ripe, full-bodied red is lengthy and lush on the palate, seasoned with black pepper, mocha and blackberry preserve.

Blended with 13% Petite Sirah, this wine offers smoky leather and brambly black and red berry around soft, dusty tannins and plenty of structure. Rich and concentrated, it finishes in a blaze of dark chocolate and black pepper.

While it's not for everyone, this is a great expression of Rosenblum-style Rockpile Zin. It's a big, lusty glass of red wine, warm and heady, with extraordinarily ripe berry, currant and mocha flavors.

I love the briary, spicy aroma on this wine. It's so inviting. But then when you taste it, it turns too soft and sweet, like a melted cherry- and cassis-filled chocolate truffle. That's a delicious flavor, but it's not really a dry table wine.
