Coming on the heels of the magnificent 2005, the '06 is somewhat heavier and more direct, with a soft, full-bodied mouthfeel framing very ripe currant flavors that are somewhat meaty and raisined. Will grow rounder and more mellow in the cellar, but not much more complex.
