Tastes super-jammy and extracted in cherries and raspberries, and pretty oaky, too, with a veneer of vanilla and charred wood. But it somehow lacks the structure to support all this richness. Feels a little flabby, and not likely to age well.

A solid Syrah, dry and full-bodied, but not quite up to the last three vintages. Although there are savory blackberry and currant flavors, there's also a tough mintiness, and the mouthfeel is a bit scoury. Drink soon.
