  This vineyard is far better known for Pinot Noir, although Failla has excelled with its Chardonnay. Novy's 2010 isn't particularly like Chardonnay. Too floral. Could almost be Viognier. Yet it's a fine wine, crisp and rich in orange, lime and honeysuckle flavors.

  Made in the popular style, with loads of sweet, smoky oak that dominate everything. Shows buttered toast and vanilla flavors plastered over the perfectly pleasant pineapples, lemons and minerals.

  A little too ripe and oaky for elegance, this is almost dessert-like, in the sweet vanilla, crème brûlée and pineapple jam flavors. Crisp acidity helps to balance.
