This 100% Syrah hasn't even begun shedding its hard, dry tannins at the age of nearly seven years, and it probably never will. It's also overripe, with a porty finish.

Very soft and light-bodied, almost without tannins, this gentle wine has flavors of cherries, chocolate, orange zest, anise and vanilla. Could use greater structural volume, especially at this price.
